'Reversing cardiovascular diseases using natural therapies'
Cardiovascular disease still kills more people worldwide than most other diseases. Very often, the therapies recommended for treatment of cardiovascular diseases by conventional allopathic physicians are invasive (ballloon angioplasties, stents, bypass graft surgery, arrythmia focus ablation therapies, implantable defibrillators, etc.). During the presentation, many case examples will be given to exemplify the diversity of successful integrative natural therapies that are available to avoid the need for invasive therapies for cardiovascular diseases as well as natural interventions that prevent cardiovascular diseases and save lives."

‘Promoting cardiovascular health and preventing cardiovascular disease: The role of homocysteine, nutrient status and lifestyle factors’
The role of elevated levels of homocysteine, a naturally occurring amino acid in the body, is gradually becoming recognised as a significant factor in ageing and a host of degenerative diseases, including cardiovascular disease. Jacqueline will show how homocysteine levels can be assessed and how they can be kept low by means of good nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle factors. She will describe her research on the role of folic acid, Vitamins B6 and B12 and Trimethylglycine (TMG) in lowering homocysteine and show how she supports patients/clients in optimising their heart health and preventing cardiovascular disease in her practice.

'The role of nutritional therapies in the care of individuals with cardiovascular related problems'
Cardiovascular disease, heart health and hypertension have well established links to the foods we choose to eat and the lifestyles we live. Yet nutritionists often find this a complex area in which to work to support their patients. Michael will look at the role of Nutritional Therapy in the care of individuals with cardiovascular related problems and provide a functional medicine approach to optimise ease of engagement and compliance as well as providing practical strategies to avoid common pitfalls. In particular he will discuss the interaction of the immune system with the heart and how food selection can provide a multi faceted benefit.
